We are honored to have Kitty Hailey as our guest presenter.
Kitty Hailey, CLI is an investigator of long standing. After many years of working a full service agency she worked with the Federal Defender Capital Habeas Unit and established a passion for civil rights and wrongful conviction work. During the last 30 years she has become an advocate for professionalism in this industry and writes voraciously for the profession. Her works can be seen in PI Magazine and The Legal Investigator. In addition, Kitty has written several books for Investigators including her seminal work: CODE OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT: STANDARDS AND ETHICS FOR THE INVESTIGATIVE PROFESSION. Now in its 20th year and 3rd edition, the CODE has become a standard for investigators around the country. Her legacy project is working to have it affordable to all investigators and accepted by each state and national association with the goal of codifying and unifying ethics across the country.
